Class Placement

All students are placed into a class according to their age and more importantly their level of ability. Numbers of years of previous training does not necessarily determine placement. If at any time the instructor feels the student is incorrectly placed, he or she will be moved into the proper class.

Class Etiquette & Dress Code

Proper dance attire is necessary for the dance instructor to see your body alignment. Leotards, tights, fitted dance pants, & ballet skirts are allowed. Baggy clothes such as T-shirts sweat pants, loose fitted shorts, etc. are not allowed.
Please label all shows, bags, and costumes. They all look the same.
Hair must be tied up and off face.
No food, drink, or gum, chewing is allowed in the studio. Water only, in plastic containers, may be brought into the studio.
No cell phones in the studio.
Please be courteous to your fellow students and your instructor by realizing that the classroom is for learning. Socializing should be done in the waiting/changing areas. Also, when your teacher is working with an individual student or group of students, you should quietly watch, listen, and learn.
Don't forget to thank your teacher after class.

Observation Classes

Parents are encouraged to view the progress of their child on the first class of every other month (Sept., Nov., Jan., March, May). At all other times parents, Siblings, and friends are not allowed in the classroom, as this can be distracting to the dancers. Video taping is not allowed without your teacher s approval. Many teachers find this distracting.

Summer Programs
The regular summer programs runs for a period of eight weeks during the months of July and August. The more serious dancers should keep up classes year round. It is also a nice opportunity for students who wish to try out a class on a short-term basis or keep active during the summer months. Week long summer camps offering a variety of classes and activities are also scheduled throughout the summer.

Costumes

All costumes will be priced at $75 each. Full costume payments will be due no later than November 15th, 2008. Failure to pay costume fees will result in delayed ordering of your child's costume and a $20.00 shipping and handling late fee will be charged to your account. In order to get our costumes in time for our recital we need to order them before Thanksgiving so we have time to make any necessary exchanges.
